Happy last day of 2009!!!!

Its that time of year when all news portals are listing the events of year and a few gone a step ahead and started listing events of decade.. I am not sure a decade has to be counted from 1 to 0 or 0 to 1 or simply 1 to 9.. :)
Anyway I thought why don't I sign off this year by listing events/incidents of year from my own life.. :)
  1. Jan: Celebrated new year's @ Edinburgh hogomony.. 4th time in a row, was pretty much sure its not going to recur in 2010 :(
  2. Jan: Landed in India after 18 months in Jan 09 and have to bribe customs guys Rs5000 to get my new Sony Vaio into India as I am already holding a company provided laptop. Well its Desi 'ishtyle' welcome :(
  3. Feb: Visited my home town and also visited a few tourist attractions of my district. Well it took me 27 years to see probably the best symbols of Srikakulam :)

  5. Apr-May : Drowned in F&O trading.. loss on par with 2 months savings in UK. Though was happy to see Manmohan Singh getting a thumping victory :¬

Why telangana reminds me of partition...

Is telangana 21st century reminiscent of 20th century's Indian partition? Well current events in Andhra Pradesh are all leading to the same direction... Equating Samaikyandhra to akhanda Bharath and TRS to Muslim league, unfortunately I see a lot of similarities..

Then....Circumstances & leader
A section of Muslim population felt they are getting marginalised and would 'continue' to get oppressed by Hindus if they were to be part of a free India. But that was a minuscule portion compared to the whole Muslim population's feelings. But a leader who distanced himself from Congress because of 'some' differences (I believe the actual reason being he failed to surpass the gaining popularity of the emerging World's peace icon and felt it is better to amass wealth in enemy's land) had taken the baton of securing interests of Muslims.. (Everyone knows how credible Muslim this guy is!!!! from his ancestry to his own religious followings in his personal life). He returned with a huge wealth from foreign land, joined Muslim league and lends his voice for a separate nation... The time when British Raj weakened after world war and ready to yield freedom to India comes up strongly for a separate nation and promotes mob phenomena and violence..

Now.... Circumstances &Leader
A section of telangana population has felt that they were oppressed under Nizam and felt they might face same plight if they were to become part of Andhra which would include coastal parts of Andhra which is wealthier in all aspects. But that was a minuscule portion compared to the whole telangana population's feelings. As most people understand the simple equation that being part of AP they can actually get a share of surplus from other region than living in deficit. But a leader who failed to get a cabinet birth in State government realised that he can not grow any more in the shadow of the then CEO of AP unless he split the company and create a new CEO post. So he starts a new party for getting telangana, he joins hands with any party that is in power, gets ministerial post for himself and his 'friends'. A party whose sole agenda is being telangana takes a cabinet portfolio of Shipping where telangana region has zero exposure to sea. After amassing enough wealth and when there is a weak leadership in the aftermath of sudden demise of AP's most popular CM from congress, raises a increased slogan for separate state.

Then.. Reaction from rest of the Country..
As a whole nation wanted a single united India where both Hindus and Muslims can live together as brothers.. They even show willingness to give the topmost position of united India to selfish separatist. But the power is in hands of people who don't look for the nerve of the common public but worried about the violence created by mob encouraged by the separatist 'Leader'.

Now...Reaction from rest of Andhra...
The whole state wanted a single united Andhra where both people from telangana region and Andhra can live together as brothers. Leaders resign from their positions and are willing to give their constituencies to the separatist leaders to contest and promises them victory.. Again power to take a decision is in hands of a few in the centre (not represented by a single leader from whole Andhra)who don’t look for the nerve of the common public but worried about the violence created by mob encouraged by the separatist 'Leader'.

Then.. Violence in stronghold of separatist 'Leader'
Mobs encouraged by separatists confiscate Hindu’s properties, throws them out their houses, attacks them violently and forces to leave those regions. Also these mobs threaten any one who provide shelter to Hindus..

Now.. Violence in stronghold of separatist 'Leader'
Mobs encouraged by separatists destroy and take control of properties of prominent people from other regions of AP(like the properties of Allu aravind, Mohan babu) and attack them. Also these mobs attack the people from their own region who didn't express public support for a separate state (like the case of Renuka chowdary)...

Then...British Raj taken a wrong decision..
Even after 60 years, still India and Pakistan are at logger heads.. Those who thought would be better off by them selves are probably the worst in world by all indices and is consistently proven to be a failed state.. Became the world capital of islamist extremism.. On the other hand those who wanted to be united emerged as the 3rd most powerful in world but can not live in peace with a belligerent neighbour..

Now... If centre finally accedes for a sep state against wishes of people..
A new state will be formed, with less resources available with in state it will heavily depend on Centre.. State will not have stable governments with so many parties in fold for such a small region.. Can become the Indian capital of Naxal extremism..

Hyderabad - A new dimension:
AP State Government has been investing heavily in a single city ignoring other cities.. Unlike other southern states of tamilnadu and karnataka where there is considerable IT and other investment in 2nd class cities like Coimbatore and Mysore, successive AP governments have ignored Vaizag, Vijayawada and Tirupati. So is the personal investments of individuals in Hyderabad from across all regions.. If Hyderabad were to be parted from Andhra and was given to telangana, then IT city's growth will start decelerating.. Investments inflows from outside will stop.. Individuals who invested in Hyderabad will rather settle for a loss by selling immediately than loosing their entire investments to the mobs and Rowdies encouraged by separatist leaders.. On the other hand the Vaizag, Vijayawada and Tirupati will get their fair share, investments will pour in and growth accelerates...

PS: All these views are personal and all characters are fictious.. If found to be closer to any living or dead entity then it is a mere coincidence. :) :) :)
